Cupid and Psyche - Post #6

Today I found out that 'Psyche' was pronounced (in latin) soo-ke and not like sigh-kee (which was the english alternative). Okay that's random but anyways, the play was actually really good! Like the acting, the stage ensemble, the lighting (not to mention the venue as it was in PLC (pymble not the other one) and their auditorium (is that how you'd call it) is pretty cool, like a smaller version of imax but smaller and a stage instead of a screen.

There were a few people from SGHS who performed in it, pretty exciting and it was interesting. Only bad side was no eating was allowed in there and my stomach (as well as Monika's) were grumbling throughout the whole thing. I was going to sneak out my maltesers but I made one tiny crackle upon beginning to open the packet and people nearby turned heads so I pretended it was my bag (which was on my lap as it's furry and warm and it was FREEZING).

Overall it was very enjoyable and the whole play was performed in Latin (as in spoken) with subs on a screen above the stage and I'm still wondering how the main characters (pretty much Psyche) was able to remember her lines. Like seriously. She spoke throughout practically the whole thing in another language and dramatically and didn't stuff up once. I guess it must've been some hard core practice sessions.

We were even given a ruler, two pencils and a cute heart shaped chocolate! (on the back is a sticker that says Cupid and Psyche) I'm going to eat it now (:

xoxo Bernice
